Without the financial support from the CTO Foundation, I would not have been able to pursue my Master programme in Events Management.  Having begun my studies in 2015, the CTO scholarship has allowed me to gain the background knowledge that I need in events management through online studies, while simultaneously engaging in my job functions to support the roll-out of work meetings and conferences.  Although I am currently in-between jobs, my current studies in events management, coupled with my previous studies in languages and interpreting, have definitely widened my scope of career options.

To be a CTO scholarship recipient means to be part of the larger regional focus on bolstering Caribbean tourism.  It means that positive and meaningful investments are being made into highlighting and sustaining the importance of tourism, in all its forms, for the region’s nations.
