Master of Science in Tourism Development

The scholarship contributed to the cost of my tuition which allowed me to pursue my desired course of study, MSc Tourism Development, at the University of Surrey. 

The CTO scholarship afforded me with the opportunity to pursue my MSc in Tourism Development at my university of choice.  With the education received at the University of Surrey, I was equipped with the knowledge and skills to work on very interesting tourism projects and in development in the Caribbean region.  In many ways, it has created the avenues for all job opportunities and professional development that I have enjoyed. Also, the scholarship initiative at the CTO provides recipients with a sense of accomplishment and validates tourism and hospitality as lucrative areas of study where many times, they are not seen as such.

I am currently employed as an Operations Analyst at the Inter-American Development Bank in Trinidad.  My major responsibility is supporting project management in a variety of projects funded by the IDB especially in the social sector and tourism.
