Barry Brown is a seasoned advertising and publishing executive with over 30 years of deep-rooted connection to the Caribbean and Atlantic islands. As Executive Director of Caribbean & Latin America for AFAR Media, Barry blends his passion for the region with his expertise in experiential luxury travel, forging meaningful partnerships that drive tourism, business, and cultural appreciation across the region.

A long-time advocate for Caribbean youth, Barry is a founding partner of the CTO Youth Congress and a dedicated member of the CTO Foundation Board. He is committed to championing education and professional development for the next generation of tourism leaders through fundraising, advocacy, and mentorship. Barry has played an integral role in aligning the Foundation’s mission with CTO's broader initiatives, helping strengthen the bridge between education and tourism industry advancement.

Barry’s career spans top-tier roles at DDB Needham Advertising, where he led award-winning campaigns for global brands and helped create iconic events such as the Bermuda Jazz Festival and the Cayman Food & Wine Festival. In publishing, he has held key positions at Travel + Leisure, Robb Report, and The Wall Street Journal, consistently promoting the Caribbean with creativity, purpose, and unwavering dedication.
