Tourism is a multifaceted industry as tourists have become increasingly knowledgeable and are, in many cases, more interested in an experience than in a destination itself. This becomes a challenge especially for a small nation like Antigua and Barbuda to develop and retain market share within a highly competitive global market. For this reason, I have chosen to pursue an MSc. Marketing and Data Analytics degree at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies. This programme will equip me with analytical skills to support statistics-driven initiatives within the tourism industry. 

I am sincerely honoured to be selected as one of the 2017 CTO scholarship recipients. This scholarship will lighten my financial burden and allow me to focus on my goals. My expected period of completion is September 2018.
