As part of my Master’s Degree Program in 2014 I had to do an internship.  An opportunity came up to be an intern within Caribbean Tourism Organization in London as a Marketing Assistant for 7 months.  It was my first experience abroad.  My CTO scholarship actually was used to finance my internship experience abroad, especially for the accommodation and the transport, London being an expensive city.  But I liked it so much that I decided to stay in London where I am still, pursuing my professional career in the tourism & travel industry. 

I wholeheartedly thank the CTO Foundation for this superb opportunity that has honed my skills, knowledge, and competencies in the field, and for the opportunity to give back to individuals who want to travel the same path in this wonderful industry.  Thank you CTO.

Being a CTO scholarship/grant recipient means a lot.  This initiative is great.  If I did not get this financial support from CTO my experience in London wouldn’t have been that serene.  The student life can be hard sometimes financially, but on the other hand you still want to accomplish something.  I am very thankful to CTO for this and I am part of the CTO family especially since my internship with CTO London.  

Currently, I am employed as a Reservations Executive at the Kuoni – Gulliver’s Travel in London, England.
