Key Information 

Applications are invited for the following scholarships under the CTO Scholarship Foundation for the 2024/2024 academic year:

  • The CTO Foundation is introducing this scholarship of up to $7,500 in the name of the late Jean Holder, who was considered by many as the father of Caribbean tourism development. The Jean Holder Memorial Scholarship is being offered to a Caribbean national seeking to enhance their skill in any area of Sustainable Tourism Development.

  • Audrey Palmer Hawks Memorial Scholarship (up to US$5,000) to Caribbean nationals seeking to enhance their skills in public relations, communications or brand management.

  • The Arley Sobers Memorial Scholarship (up to US$5,000) to Caribbean nationals seeking to enhance their skills in tourism research or statistics, data science, IT or cybersecurity. 

  • Bonita Morgan Memorial Scholarship (up to US$5,000) to Caribbean nationals seeking to enhance their skills in tourism education or human resources development.

  • CTO Scholarship Foundation Grant (up to US$2,500) to Caribbean nationals seeking to improve their skills in tourism-related fields.

Successful candidates must meet the criteria established for each scholarship, as indicated below. Applicants may apply for no more than two (2) scholarships or study grants or a combination of scholarship and study grant.

Deadline

The deadline for submitting entries is Friday, 3 May 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Late applications will not be accepted. All applications must be submitted online and will not be accepted via mail, email, or fax.

Announcement of Winners

Scholarship winners will be announced by the end of June 2024.

References:  Please submit two (2) letters of reference from an educational institution, church or community organization, attesting to your academic acumen and leadership abilities. Letters of reference from family members are not acceptable.

By completing this application, you agree to serve the Caribbean for six months (grant) to two years (scholarship) upon completion of your studies, failing which you'll be asked to repay all the funds you received to the CTO Scholarship Foundation.
