How We Are Funded

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Scholarship Foundation was established in 1997 as a not-for-profit corporation registered in the State of New York. It operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Led by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation awarded its first scholarships and study grants in 1998. The CTO Scholarship Foundation is funded through the generous support of our Caribbean tourism partners —Corporate Sponsors, Donors, and Fundraising Events.
